Saint Joseph’s University is a private Roman Catholic university founded in 1851 by the all-male Jesuit order known as the Society of Jesus, whose origins date back to the 1500’s. Originally known as Saint Joseph’s College it became Saint Joseph’s University in 1978. The university has three separate campuses, the main one located in metropolitan Philadelphia; including Lower Merion Township and another on Pennsylvania Main Line. The total campus encompasses 105 acres and 79 buildings.
Saint Joseph’s University offers nearly 30 graduate programs, 50 undergraduate majors and 13 College of Professional & Liberal Studies programs. The university has an extensive range of online degrees. Master’s degrees include: Business Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Health Administration, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development and Leadership, Secondary Education and Special Education. Additionally, several graduate programs offer assistantships that include stipends or tuition benefits.
