Lubbock Christian University was founded in 1957 by members of the Church of Christ, with the stated goal of educating its students and imparting values for scholarship and living. With a relatively small population of about 2000 students, LCU began offering online degrees in 2010.
Currently, LCU offers four online degrees. Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in Organizational Management and Organizational Leadership. Master of Science degrees are available in Human Services and Clinical Mental Health Services.

Tuition rates for undergraduates are $500 per semester hour for 1 to 8 hours and $600 per semester hour for 9 or more hours. Graduate tuition is significantly cheaper at only $375 per semester hour. There is also a $100 online class fee for each course taken. Most students, about 95%, receive some sort of financial aid and employer tuition reimbursement is encouraged.
These online degree programs are not aimed at first year students. Applicants must have already completed at least 60 hours of transferable undergraduate work. If they have completed 60-89 hours, they must have a 2.1 GPA. If they have already completed 90 hours or more, a 2.25 GPA must have been accomplished. Other undergraduate admission requirements include a transcript, an entrance essay, and a resume. For graduate admissions, a Bachelors degree with a GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate studies is required. Alternatively 12 hours of applicable graduate study with a cumulative 3.0 GPA can be substituted. Reference letters and personal statements are required for all graduate admissions.
