Brandeis University is a private nonsectarian Jewish university founded in 1948. It is named after United States Supreme Court Justice Louis Dembitz Brandeis, who was the first person of Jewish descent to hold a seat on the court. The university is located on a suburban campus encompassing 235 attractive acres in Waltham, Massachusetts, just a few miles from Boston, and holds over 100 academic and residential buildings combined.
The university offers 42 majors in fields such as the creative arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. Online Distance Learning programs are provided through the department of Graduate Professional Studies. Graduate Professional Studies conducts admissions on a rolling basis. There are three different deadlines for application related to fall, spring and summer terms. Open course enrollment is available allowing students to take up to two courses before applying for admission to a master’s degree program. To apply for admission, complete the online application form, submit the application fee, official transcripts, resume or CV, letter of recommendation and Statement of Goals.
Tuition for Graduate Professional Studies Online Programs differs from the full-time, on-campus Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Tuition also differs between 3 credit and 4 credit courses.
